DOES NOT COVER EUROPEAN TRAVEL.|ACCIDENT TICKET/ The TRAVELERS/ INSURANCE/ COMPANY/ OF HARTFORD, CONN./ HEREBY INSURES/ THE person whose name is registered upon/ the Stub bearing even number and date/ herewith (which Stub is hereby referred to and/ made a part of this contract), in the sum per/ week specified by punch-marks hereon, against/ loss of time not exceeding 26 consecutive/ weeks, resulting from bodily injuries effected/ during the term of this insurance, through Ex-/ ternal, Violent, and Accidental Means, which/ shall, independently of all other causes, imme-/diately and wholly disable him from transacting/ any and every kind of business. Or if loss by/ severance of one entire hand or foot results/ solely therefrom within 90 days, will pay In-/sured, in lieu of said weekly indemnity, one-third/ the principal sum indicated by punch hereon;/ or in event of loss by severance of two entire/ hands or feet, or one entire hand and one entire/ foot, or loss of entire sight of both eyes, solely therefrom within 90 days, will pay Insured the/ principal sum aforesaid provided he survives/ said 90 days. Or in event of death solely there-/from within 90 days, will pay said principal sum/ to his Legal Representatives. PROVIDED-/ 1. The Company's total liability under this/ Ticket shall not exceed said principal sum./ No claim shall be valid in excess of $6,000 with/ $30 weekly indemnity under Accident Tickets,/ or $16,000 with $80 indemnity under Accident/ Policies and Tickets together. All premiums/ paid for such excess shall be returned, on de-/mand, to Insured or his legal representatives./ 2. This insurance covers Females against/ death only; does not cover persons under 16/ or over 70 years old, nor employees on public conveyances while on duty, nor persons bereft/ of reason, sight, or hearing; and covers only/ injuries received within the civilized limits of/ the United States, Canada, Newfoundland, Republic of Mexico, West Indies, and Bermu-/das, including travel by regular passenger or/ mail lines on sea between such limits. This insurance does not cover disappear-/ances; nor suicide, san or insane; nor injuries/ of which there is no visible mark on the body/ (the body itself in case of death not being/ deemed such mark); nor accident, nor death,/ nor loss of limb or sight, nor disability, result-/ in wholly or partly, directly or indirectly,/ from any of the following causes, or while so/ engaged or affected: Disease or bodily infirm-/ity, hernia, fits, vertigo, sleep-walking; medi-/cal or surgical treatment, except amputations/ necessitated solely by injuries and made within/ 90 days after accident/ intoxication or narcotics/ voluntary or involuntary taking of poison or/ contact with poisonous substances or inhaling/ of any gas or vapor; sunstroke or freezing; du-/eling or fighting, war or riot; intentional inju-/ries (inflicted by Insured or any other person);/ voluntary over-exertion; violating law; violat-/ing rules of a corporation; voluntary exposure/ to unnecessary danger; entering or trying to en-/ter or leave a moving conveyance using steam/ as a motive power (except cable cars), riding/ in or on any such conveyance not provided/ for the transportation of passengers, walking/ or being on a railway bridge or road-bed./ 4. Immediate written notice, with full par-/ticulars and full name and address of Insured,/ is to be given said Company at Hartford of any/ accident and injury for which claim is made./ Unless affirmative proof of death, loss of limb/ or sight, or duration of disability, and of their/ being the proximate result of external, violent,/ and accidental means, is so furnished within/ seven months from time of accident, all claims/ based thereon shall be forfeited to the Com-/pany. No legal proceeding for recovery here-/under shall be brought within three months/ after receipt of proof at this office, nor at all/ unless begun within one year from date of/ alleged accident./5.
